Alderley & Wilmslow Musical Theatre Company is an adult society dedicated to the staging of musical theatre shows. Our current membership ranges from 16 to 70 and we come together to put on high quality musical productions and to have fun while we are doing it! We sometimes have under-16s in our productions if there is a need for children in a particular show or if they are dancers.
We meet rehearse, meet and perform in various locations in Wilmslow and the surrounding area.
The society is run by a committee of playing and non-playing society members.
The committee are elected by the membership at the Annual AGM.
While we are an adult society, we take our responsibilities towards the safety and welfare of young people very seriously. We therefore have a co-opted Child Protection Officer.
Anderson’s School of Dance is a professional, fun and welcoming dancing school. We provide high quality tuition in a variety of dance styles including Ballet, Modern Jazz, contemporary, Musical Theatre and Street, following the IDTA syllabus. Dancers get the chance to take yearly examinations, participate in shows and community performances. Through continuous training and support we aim for all of our students to reach their full potential.

Pure Technique– Exercises at the barre and the centre designed to strengthen the Feet, legs and core. This will strengthen a dancers technique for all styles of dance.

45 mins duoWedding Dance LessonsPrivate tuition is available for couples who wish to learn a dance routine for their first dance. Routines are tailored to your individual needs and choreographed specifically for your special day.
Lessons are available Monday – Saturday and are charged at 15 pounds per 45 minutes or 50 pounds for a course of four lessons.
3-4 years; Wilmslow Leisure Centre
Dance offers something for everyone at this age. Dance gives a sense of physical co-ordination, good posture and balance and improves confidence. It also exercises the mind in an effort of concentration completely different to that required for school studies.
This class introduces basic ballet for little girls in a fun way. As we all know, little girls love to dream of becoming a ballerina, a pink ballet leotard, skirt and dainty shoes all help to make the dream come true!
We do little ballet runs around the room holding our skirts out wide, little turns with our arms up high, we point and flex our toes and skip and dance until our hearts content.
Movement to music, mime, suppleness exercises, modern dancing and singing are incorporated into the lesson to provide plenty of variety and keep the classes fun.
Cheshire A Cappella chorus is a dynamic group of women who meet each week to sing in fabulous four-part harmony a cappella style. The shared vision is of a modern, exciting harmony chorus for women of all ages and backgrounds who love to sing.
Rehearsals are at the Morley Green Club every Wednesday at 7.30pm.

The Lindow Photographic Group is a well established, creative photographic club in Wilmslow, that promotes creativity through a hands on approach to photography. Made up of three separate groups, the Fox-Talbot, Lange and Avedon.
We don’t do competitions but instead work through a series of photographic briefs, lectures, practical exercises and demonstrations that enable each member to develop their own style and expand their own photographic portfolios.
The Lindow Singers is a mixed voice choir of around 60 singers. The choir was founded in 1964 by a group of friends in Wilmslow, meeting to sing in a flat near Lindow Common. Since then the choir has grown but the aim of singing for fun and friendship remains core.

MAINSTAGE has been developed by highly experienced education and music industry professionals. Utilising over two decades of teaching experience, the Mainstage team have devised a unique modular system which incorporates both individual tuition and structured group rehearsals. Twice a year students will have the opportunity to perform live at an event to showcase their newly developed skills.
Mainstage takes students of all ages and abilities and within a single session will have them performing alongside other students in a band jam session. This system places the emphasis on performing in a group, encourages participation and builds confidence while rapidly developing usable playing skills, improving technical abilities and establishing music theory.
Junior sessions are 30 minutes long, during this time the learner will be guided through approximately 20 minutes of technical exercises and song rehearsal followed by 10 minutes of performance time.
Senior sessions are 60 minutes long, this comprises of 45 minutes of technical exercises and song rehearsal followed by 15 minutes of performance time.
Mainstage sessions take place in a friendly and relaxed learning environment and are delivered by experienced tutors. All our staff have undergone extensive training and are regularity observed and monitored to ensure consistently high standards of delivery and have advanced DBS (CRB) checks.
Our schools are fully equipped with industry standard musical instruments and state-of-the-art sound equipment.
