The Lindow Photographic Group is a well established, creative photographic club in Wilmslow, that promotes creativity through a hands on approach to photography. Made up of three separate groups, the Fox-Talbot, Lange and Avedon.
We don’t do competitions but instead work through a series of photographic briefs, lectures, practical exercises and demonstrations that enable each member to develop their own style and expand their own photographic portfolios.
Lindow Scout Group consists of three sections – A Beavers Colony for 6-8 years, a Cub Pack for 8-10½ years and a Scout Troop for 10½-14½ years.
Scouts then go on to become Explorer Scouts, based at Lindow but administered by Alderley District. The Group’s objective is to fully develop the young people physically, mentally and spiritually in an enjoyable way. Our group is affiliated with St. John’s church so has a Christian ethos.
Visit the website for more information, including how to join.
The Lindow Singers is a mixed voice choir of around 60 singers. The choir was founded in 1964 by a group of friends in Wilmslow, meeting to sing in a flat near Lindow Common. Since then the choir has grown but the aim of singing for fun and friendship remains core.
